Lil Wayne stopped by Fox Sports’s “Undisputed” with Skip Bayless to address the rumors that have been circulating about his retirement. The rumors started when the rapper tweeted about his aggravation with the situation involving himself and Birdman. Wayne explained that he had just gotten into an argument and reached a “tipping point” before he tweeted those things. However, his feelings about the situation have not changed. Wayne made it clear that he and Birdman would not be working together ever again. Recently other rappers such as Young Thug and Kendrick Lamar announced their support for Lil Wayne. He made sure to thank them in the interview.

Lil Wayne also discussed his views on racism in the interview as well. He expressed that “there is no such thing as racism.” All kinds of people enjoy Lil Wayne’s music. The record breaking artist is happy that his audience is made up of everyone. When Wayne was asked about a performance he did for a  predominantly white Westchester audience, he replied, “A lot of white kids love rap. Explain that.” Wayne expressed that he thought racism was over but it is clear to him now that it isn’t.

In other news, fortunately there is some new music on the way from Lil Wayne. According to DJ Drama, Lil Wayne’s ‘Dedication’ mixtape is currently being worked on. It’s exciting to know that we’ll hear something new from the rapper despite the retirement rumors.
