THEY SAY LIFE’S A HIGWAY…

The founder of Uber, a driving service that totally changed the transportation game, has officially stepped down from his position as CEO. Travis Kalanick helped start the car service in 2009 and has been apart of its success from the beginning.

Unfortunately for him, sources say he was forced to resign by investors Tuesday after sexual allegations started tainting his image as CEO. The first major blow came when former Uber engineer detailed what she said was sexual harassment at the company

In a letter titled, “Moving Uber Forward” obtained by the NY Times, investors say that the company needed a change in leadership. After what is said to be a long conversation, he eventually agreed to resign.

“I love Uber more than anything in the world and at this difficult moment in my personal life I have accepted the investors request to step aside so that Uber can go back to building rather than be distracted with another fight,” Mr. Kalanick said in a statement.

Uber is wasting no time letting go of the old and anticipating the new.  “Over the next 180 days we are committed to making driving with Uber better than ever,” the company said. “We know there’s a long road ahead, but we won’t stop until we get there.”
