ATLANTA, GA — October baseball is coming back to Atlanta.
The Atlanta Braves have officially completed the 2026 regular season with a 94-68 record and an NL East division championship, setting up another postseason run for one of the city’s biggest sports franchises.
Atlanta will begin the postseason against a very familiar opponent: the Philadelphia Phillies.
The National League Wild Card Series brings the division rivals together at Truist Park, adding another chapter to a matchup that has developed into one of baseball’s most closely watched postseason rivalries in recent years.
Winning the division gives Atlanta home-field advantage for the opening series.
The Braves spent much of the season at the top of the NL East and now enter October attempting to turn their regular-season success into a deep postseason run.
For Atlanta sports fans, the timing creates an especially busy stretch with the Braves entering playoff baseball while the Falcons’ NFL season is getting underway.
The Braves and Phillies will now settle things on the field with a spot in the National League Division Series on the line.
