ATLANTA, GA — Fans waiting on Young Thug’s Slime Language 3 will have to hold on a little longer after the Atlanta rapper confirmed the highly anticipated project needs a few last-minute adjustments.
Young Thug previously indicated that the new YSL compilation would arrive Friday, August 28. However, the expected midnight release came and went without the project appearing on streaming platforms. He later addressed the delay on social media, saying there were a “few changes” and apologizing to fans for the wait.
Exactly what is being changed remains unknown. No new release date or time has been officially announced, although Young Thug’s message suggests the project is still on the way.
Slime Language 3 will continue Young Thug’s collaborative series showcasing artists associated with his Young Stoner Life (YSL) label. The upcoming installment is expected to put a spotlight on newer members of the roster, including 1300SAINT, Tezzus, diamond* and iyrus.
The rollout gained momentum earlier this week with the release of “Consummate,” featuring Young Thug alongside 1300SAINT and Tezzus. The track is connected to the upcoming project and gives listeners an early preview of YSL’s latest musical direction.
Young Thug has also teased that Slime Language 3 will feature two sides, pointing toward a sizable collection of new music. It will follow 2021’s Slime Language 2, which reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200.
For now, fans are waiting for Young Thug and YSL to announce when the project will officially arrive.
