The Atlanta Braves are celebrating one of Atlanta’s most influential music legends this summer by honoring Jermaine Dupri with a special bobblehead night at Truist Park. The event is scheduled for July 22 during the Braves’ matchup against the San Diego Padres and is expected to blend Atlanta sports culture with the city’s iconic hip-hop legacy.
According to the Braves, the first 15,000 fans through the gates will receive an exclusive Jermaine Dupri collectible bobblehead as part of the celebration. The night will also feature music-themed experiences, including a pregame block party where Dupri is expected to DJ and possibly bring out surprise guests.
The Grammy-winning producer, known for helping shape Atlanta into a global hip-hop powerhouse through So So Def Recordings, is also scheduled to throw out the ceremonial first pitch before the game begins at 7:15 p.m. at Truist Park.
In addition to the bobblehead giveaway, the Braves say fans can expect special food offerings inspired by some of Dupri’s biggest musical hits, adding even more Atlanta flavor to the night’s festivities. The celebration continues the Braves’ recent trend of honoring major Atlanta cultural figures and musicians through themed promotional nights and collectible giveaways.
The announcement has already generated excitement across social media, with fans of both baseball and hip-hop calling it one of the most unique Braves promotions of the 2026 season.
