Sean “Diddy” Combs has received another adjustment to his projected federal prison release date, with records now showing the music mogul is expected to be released on February 23, 2028. The updated date marks the latest in a series of sentence revisions since Combs began serving a 50-month prison term following his 2025 conviction on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution.
According to reports, Combs’ projected release date has been moved forward multiple times over the past several months. While federal officials have not publicly explained the most recent reduction, media outlets have noted that Combs has been participating in the prison’s Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), which can allow eligible inmates to receive sentence reductions. He is currently incarcerated at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, while his legal team continues to challenge both his conviction and sentence through the appeals process.
The latest development comes as Combs remains embroiled in ongoing legal battles beyond his criminal case. His attorneys have argued that the conviction should be overturned, while prosecutors maintain that the sentence was appropriate. Although the appeal remains pending, the revised release date means the Bad Boy Records founder could leave federal custody earlier than originally anticipated if no additional changes are made to his sentence.
