Atlanta is gearing up for one of its biggest weekends of the year as Juneteenth celebrations, FIFA World Cup events, concerts, and community festivals bring thousands of residents and visitors together across the city. With Father’s Day weekend coinciding with Juneteenth and the ongoing FIFA World Cup festivities, there will be no shortage of entertainment, culture, and family-friendly activities throughout metro Atlanta.
One of the marquee events is the 14th Annual Juneteenth Atlanta Parade & Music Festival taking place June 19-21 at Piedmont Park. The free festival features live music, food vendors, cultural exhibits, family activities, a Freedom Day Parade, health and job fairs, a 5K Freedom Run, and celebrations honoring Black history and culture. Organizers expect thousands of attendees throughout the three-day event, making it one of the largest Juneteenth celebrations in the Southeast.
Meanwhile, soccer fever continues to sweep through the city as the FIFA Fan Festival remains open at Centennial Olympic Park. Fans can watch World Cup matches on giant screens, enjoy live entertainment, interactive games, food vendors, and special appearances throughout the weekend. Atlanta is also hosting official World Cup-related events and watch parties across the city as international visitors continue to pour into the region.
Additional attractions this weekend include Atlanta Streets Alive, Pride Month celebrations, neighborhood festivals, local markets, and special concerts throughout downtown and Midtown. Families looking for Father’s Day activities can also find community events, outdoor experiences, and sporting events taking place across the metro area. With World Cup excitement, Juneteenth celebrations, and summer festival season all happening at once, Atlanta is expected to see one of its busiest and most vibrant weekends of 2026.
