Atlanta is gearing up for one of its most anticipated cultural celebrations as the 40th Annual Sweet Auburn Springfest returns Mother’s Day Weekend, May 9–10, 2026. Taking place in the historic Sweet Auburn District, this free, family-friendly festival promises a full weekend of live entertainment, food, culture, and community.

Known as one of the largest street festivals in the Southeast, Sweet Auburn Springfest will feature multi-stage live music and dance performances, bringing together local and national talent for nonstop entertainment throughout the weekend. From soulful sounds to high-energy performances, there’s something for every music lover to enjoy.

Food lovers can indulge in the “Taste of Springfest,” offering a wide variety of multicultural food and treats. Vendors will showcase flavors from around the world, making it the perfect place to explore new cuisines while enjoying classic festival favorites.

Families are encouraged to bring the kids out for a day of fun in the dedicated Kids’ Zone, complete with interactive activities, games, and rides. The festival also features a “Fantastic Fun Zone” designed to keep all ages entertained.

Shoppers can browse local vendors offering unique merchandise, handmade goods, and one-of-a-kind finds. It’s a great opportunity to support small businesses while discovering something special.

In honor of Mother’s Day, the festival will feature special tributes celebrating moms, including photo opportunities and a “Celebrate Mama” experience designed to recognize and appreciate mothers in the community.

Attendees can also take part in history tours and explore the rich legacy of the Sweet Auburn District, home to landmarks like the Martin Luther King Jr. National Historical Park and Ebenezer Baptist Church.

The event takes place at Auburn Ave & J.W. Dobbs Ave in Atlanta, with festival hours running Saturday from 11 AM to 9 PM and Sunday from 1 PM to 8 PM.

Best of all, admission is completely free, making it the perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend with family, friends, and the community.
