Authorities arrested 49-year-old Billy Joe Cagle of Cartersville, Georgia, after he allegedly threatened a mass shooting at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. Cagle reportedly made FaceTime calls on his way to the airport, saying he planned to “go rat-a-tatt-tatt,” mimicking gunfire. His family alerted police after noticing alarming posts and erratic behavior. When officers arrived, they found Cagle inside the terminal and discovered an AR-15-style rifle and ammunition in his truck. The convicted felon now faces multiple federal and state charges, including making terroristic threats and firearm possession. Authorities say the family’s quick action helped prevent a possible tragedy.
