Channel 2′s Justin Carter was in Buckhead, where gas was going for $4.49.
Overnight, gas prices shot up 10 cents and they’ve gone up 24 cents since last week.
AAA said its the highest they’ve seen gas prices climb in 14 years. AAA spokesperson Garrett Townsend said the latest 10-cent spike has everything to do with the conflict between Ukraine and Russia right now. “When something happens on the international scene, the price of crude oil goes up because of the concern about futures,” Townsend said.
