Get ready for an artic blast to sweep across north Georgia this weekend.

Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brian Monahan says temperatures will fall drastically Friday into Saturday.

Monahan says the combination of the wind and low temperatures will be enough to drop the wind chill below zero at times.

We’re tracking how cold temperatures will drop in your neighborhood, throughout the day on on Channel 2 Action News.

Here is what to know as you head through Friday:

  • A wind chill advisory goes into effect at midnight for parts of north Georgia. Wind chills of -10 degrees to 5 degrees are possible.
