Get ready for a rematch, Georgia fans.

The No. 3 Bulldogs dominated No. 2 Michigan Wolverines, 34-11, to win the Orange Bowl semifinal.

Georgia will now face No. 1 Alabama in the College Football Playoff Championship on Jan. 10 in Indianapolis.

The Dawgs and Crimson Tide previously met in the 2018 College Football Playoff title game and most recently in the 2020 SEC Championship Game. Alabama has defeated Georgia in seven straight games.

After the SEC Championship loss, UGA returned to winning in the dominant fashion that fans became accustomed to seeing all season.

Bennett and Georgia offense wasted no time against one of the top defenses in the country led by Heisman finalist Aidan Hutchinson.

Georgia scored on their first five drives. It was the first time any team has done that in a College Football Playoff game.

Miami native James Cook delivered in front of his hometown with 109 rushing yards and a touchdown.

Bennett finished the game with over 300 passing yards and three touchdowns. His counterpart Cade McNamara didn’t have much luck. The Dawgs defense came away with a pair of interceptions and a fumble.

Channel 2′s Tony Thomas spoke with Georgia fans who made the trip to south Florida.

They look forward to the rematch with Alabama and some already had made hotel and flight reservations before the game was even over.

“We want to take down Bama,” Stephen Trammell told Thomas.

“We got a great all around team.. Everyone wants to discredit Stetson and everything but we played good football all season,” UGA grad Cole Smith said.
