A MOTHER WILL BE CHARGED WITH MURDER FOR KILLING HER 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER
A Cobb County mother has been accused of homicide regarding the death of her 5-year-old girl.
Police captured Shekinah Akbar, 30. Prison records show Akbar is accused of felony murder, first-degree cruelty to children and aggravated assault strangulation.
Officials reacted Monday morning to the Cumberland Crossings apartments in Marietta where they found the 5-year-old kid unresponsive.
Police towed away a Toyota Camry with an Alabama tag. Neighbors revealed to a reporter the vehicle belonged to the young lady’s mom.
Akbar is now in the Cobb County Jail with no bond.
