{STREETZ MORNING TAKEOVER} KODAK BLACK FACING UP TO 30 MORE YEARS

KODAK BLACK IS FACING EVEN MORE TIME… Kodak recently got charged with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and will now be serving 46 months in jail and now Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office hit Kodak Black with two lawful offense checks of ownership of a gun by a sentenced criminal. Examiners call Kodak an “ongoing guilty party,” and therefore, he faces as long as 30 years in jail on each tally. It is obscure whether the sentences would run simultaneously or continuously.

Examiners found he purchased the first firearm back in January. The other charge originates from a firearm found on him when he was captured in Miami in May.

Kodak’s attorney Bradford Cohen left a comment on XXL’s Instagram post explaining his charges and the situation:

“This is what happens when the government feels like they lost when a young man [gets] 46 months on a filing a false document. Miami has charged him with the purchase of the weapons, because of a little rarely known law if you had a juvenile prior you can’t possess a weapon until you are 24. The Miami case will be dealt with very soon.”

Back in May, Kodak was arrested for overstepping government law by checking “no” in a box for having a felony. As it is known, one cannot purchase a gun with a criminal record and Kodak had already been charged with criminal sexual conduct.

During his condemning on Wednesday for the underlying gun charges, U.S. Region Court Judge Federico Moreno tried to disclose to Kodak that he wasn’t content with his long criminal history. “Young people do stupid things,” he told the rapper. “But the problem is that you’ve been doing stupid things since you were 15.”

Before getting his sentence, he conveyed an expression of remorse. “I’m sorry for the actions that led me for where I’m standing,” Kodak said. “I do take full responsibility for my mishap.”
