WHO GRIPS THE MIKE AND LIKES TO TELL LIES?… DRAKE?!

Drake has responded to his father’s statement that he exaggerated their father and son relationship to sell more records. Drake took to his Instagram story on Tuesday to note what Dennis Graham had to say about his presence in his life. All of this went down during a recent interview with Nick Cannon on Power 106.

The lyrics that Drake included: “Woke up today so hurt, man. My father will say anything to anyone that’s willing to listen to him,” Drake wrote. “It’s sad when family gets like this, but what can we really do? That’s the people we are stuck with. Every bar I ever spit was the truth and the truth is hard for some people to accept.”

Drake has often mentioned the divorce between his parents when he was just 5 years old had a really hard impact on him as a child. There are a lot of references to trips visiting his father in Memphis. Like in one of his songs “Paris Morton Music.”

Graham mentioned that Drake’s rhymes about him being an absentee father in his music were pure to increase sales. “I have always been with Drake,” he told the interviewer. “I said, ‘Drake, why are you saying all of this different stuff about me, man? This is not cool.’ And he goes, ‘Dad, it sells records.'”

We hope Drake and his dad can get their stories together soon.
