As displayed on social media, we see that Nicki Minaj is coming for the men in the industry who she claims to have spread false narratives about her which in this case includes Dj Akademiks. Apparently, Joe Budden, Charlamagne The God, and Dj Akademiks are on the top of Nicki’s list. Akademiks took to twitter to share with his fan that Nicki Minaj threatened him. Weeks after the rant on twitch, the social media figure is back with another video aimed at the now-retired rapper. For those of you who may have missed Akademiks’s last go ’round, he stated that Nicki needs to address why her album sales aren’t doing well. “Ask her about Drake. Ask her why the f*ck is her music flopping,” he said. “‘Megatron’ went on the charts and fell the f*ck off in four weeks.”He also stated that he’s not “team” anyone, meaning he doesn’t side with one artist over another, however, he said that Cardi B may not be a better rapper than Nicki, but she makes better songs. It seems as if Akademiks wasn’t finished with Nicki just yet, because he returned to speaking about the rapper after he claims she sent him threating DMs.
“Nicki Minaj just put a hit on me…if anything happens…or I miss a meal…SHE DID IT,” Akademiks wrote on Twitter, as fans flocked to his mentions for more tea. “Nicki hasn’t been able to put out a hit in years, you’ll be fine,” a user joked, as Akademiks agreed, but maintained that the issue was more serious than otherwise suspected.“Broo…That’s true…No solo hit but still…This ain’t no Joke….I’m the last real nigga here…all these niggas get in line. I need life insurance,” he added. The beef between the two apparently comes from Akademiks’ remarks and reactions about Minaj’s music and residency in the game. Indeed, a few weeks prior, Minaj tended to Joe Budden with comparative sentiments, which originated from his time on Complex’s ‘Everday Struggle.’ But now, the disagreement has seemingly escalated to violence after Minaj reportedly pulled up in Akademiks’ DMs.
“You gonna be in NY this coming week,” Minaj wrote on Friday, to which Ak replied, “Yup.” Three days later, Minaj reappeared, saying, “You been mad since I made a joke about u with Joe on my show. The people u rep won’t be able to stop ya jaw from getting broke.” “I know too much about ur family for u to be playing with me u hoe ass rat. Where u at now,” she asked, to which Ak replied, “noted.”
Nicki Minaj and Joe Budden recently just reconciled on Queen Radio. We hope that they are able to settle their differences.
