#METOO MOVEMENT WINS AGAIN
The host of TV show ‘Extra’, A.J. Calloway who was accused of sexual assault and other misconduct of several women has made a decision to part ways with the show.
He was initially suspended, with pay. from the show in February when the claims first emerged. Warner Bros began an internal review to determine whether there had been any misconduct by him on Extra and whether any employee of the show had been the victim of any such misconduct. The company issued a statement saying that they hadn’t found anything to suggest that Mr. Calloway had ever engaged in workplace misconduct.
After thorough invesestigation the company and Calloway came to a mutual agreement to ‘part ways.’
Sil Lai Abrams, the victim, revealed in June 2018 that allegedly, Calloway sexually assaulted her in a car in 2006 after meeting him for drinks. After she came out, two other women came forward with their own allegations against him in January. After those three, three other women cam forward.
His attorney says he vehemently denies that he ever assaulted anyone and looks forward to clearing his name. Guessing he’s still going to do that, working for ‘Extra’ or not.
