Blueface is accusing LAPD of racially profiling him in regards to his February arrest for allegedly carrying an illegal firearm through Downtown Los Angeles. LAPD is claiming that they got reports that rappers with lots and money and jewelry on them were in the area, so they went down there to protect them from attempted thieves. They say once they arrived the rappers tossed their guns and ran. Blueface’s lawyer said the reason they arrested Blueface is that he was looking nervous after police heard the clang of guns hitting the concrete.
Blueface and his legal team filed documents against the LAPD refuting their claims on what happened. His lawyers denied that he even had any weapons on him and denied the police’s claim that he made “furtive movement toward his waistband.” They said the police officers might have a history of racial and ethnic prejudice. Additionally, they believe the officers have previously written false police reports.
