HE’S STILL TRYING TO BEAT A CASE
Tay-K, whose birth name is Taymor McIntyre, recently pleaded guilty to an aggravated robbery charge and not guilty to a capital murder charge.
The 2016 home invasion gone wrong occurred when Tay-K was 16, but the teen is standing trial as an adult. Prosecutors are claiming he moved with the intention to kill, considering he and two other defendants rushed into the home of victims Zachary Beloate and Ethan Walker with guns. But according to Tay-K’s defense attorneys, the rapper only intended to participate in a robbery.
His attorneys are saying the rapper has accepted responsibility for his actions but had no intentions to kill anyone.
He was initially arrested at the time of the incident and later released on house arrest. He cut off his ankle monitor and went on the run for three months.
During his run, he releasesd the hit single “The Race” which allegedly highlights the incident and went viral as he was on the run from the police.
