YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAY, TWO IS ALWAYS BETTER THAN ONE
On a recent episode of Red Table Talk Jada Pinkett Smith, her daughter Willow Smith, and her mother Adrienne Banfield-Norris explored the topic of polygamy and polyandry. During the discussion, Willow Smith made it known that she had been exploring the aspects of polyamorous relationships.

During the interview, she mentions that she believes monogamy inhibits individuals from learning skills of evolving past insecurities and that there’s no freedom. She shared her belief that traditional marriage concepts are slightly oppressive to women and that they are an idea of ownership.

Furthermore, she mentioned that it’s not her intention to participate in a polyamorous relationship because she’s attracted to the idea of having sex with more than one person but solely because she’s open to a multiple-partnered relationship and that if her partner’s intentions are to create more love, more understanding, more community, more compassion in your life, then she’s open to it.

She described herself as not the kind of person who is constantly looking for new sexual experiences and that she focuses a lot on emotional connections; she feels like if she were to find two people of different genders, really connect with them and we have a romantic and sexual connection, she wouldn’t feel the need to find more partners.

Jada didn’t have a problem with Willow’s opinions during this discussion and told her she supported her.
