PROSECUTORS REVEAL MOTIVES BEHIND THE ENTIRE SCHEME! STREETZ GOT THE UPDATE HERE

The Dominican Republic authorities released details stating that Red Sox star, David Ortiz was not the intended target in the hit that resulted in him receiving a bullet in the back and two surgeries. Sixto David Fernandez, who was seated at the table with Ortiz’s, was the original target of the murder-for-hire plot according to the Prosecutor Rodriguez Sanchez. Apparently, the suspected gunman was only sent a photo of Fernandez and confused him with Ortiz because the two had on similar clothes that night that confused the shooter. Police found out that the photo of Fernandez was taken at the bar by Alberto Miguel Rodrigues Mota, the person accused of paying for the attempted hit. The entire hit was found to be orchestrated by Victor Hugo Gomez, a cousin of Fernandez. Authorities believe Gomez ordered the killing because he suspected Fernandez turned him into Dominican investigators back in 2011.

“The fact that David Ortiz wasn’t the target doesn’t change anything,” Rodriguez Sanchez said. “The law is the same for everybody.”
According to Ortiz’s wife, doctors say David’s condition is currently “good” and stable.
