THE “MURDER ON MY MIND” RAPPER MAY FACE THE DEATH PENALTY!
Jamell Demons, more commonly known as YNW Melly and Cortlen Henry, also known as YNW Bortlen, were recently arrested and charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the death of their close friends, YNW Sakchase and YNW Juvy.
According to Florida, VeroNews, YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen are both alleged suspects in the 2017 death of Indian River County Sheriff’s deputy, Gary Chambliss.
“After that shooting in Miramar, our detectives will be following up for possible information in connection to the Garry Chambliss homicide,” Capt. Tony Consalo, the head of the Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation, told reporters Thursday. Consalo is confident one of them will confess some information, he stated “Perhaps, given their current situation, they might be able to shed some light on the case.”
Consalo did not verify whether both of them were officially made suspects. According to the sources obtained by VeroNews, Melly and Bortlen were allegedly at the scene of the shooting in Gifford two years ago is “common knowledge” among locals. These same sources have allegedly told detectives one of them fired the fatal shot. Melly and Bortlen are accused of “standing in a group and firing gunshots” when Chambliss was hit by a stray bullet.
If convicted, they could face the death penalty.
According to the indictment, Melly and Bortlen organized the killing and then tried to make it seem like their friends were killed in a drive-by shooting.
