{STREETZMORNINGTAKEOVER} 50 CENTS TURNS DOWN TRUMP’S HALF MILLION OFFER

It just got real.

The Late Show with James Cordon got real when 50 Cent described why he turned down $500,000 to appear at Donald Trump’s presidential inauguration.

“I didn’t do it because I didn’t know if I could fix the damage,” he said. “To be honest with you, all money’s not good money. You have to be careful what you do publicly because—I don’t know how you fix that.”

50 then went on to allude to the fact that he isn’t the token Trump wants or needs to regain the black voters’ trust.

“Don’t bring me to fix the African American vote. Bring somebody else. I’ll see you later,” he said.

This wasn’t the first time that the rapper addressed Trump’s big-money offer. In 2017, 50 stopped by The Breakfast Club and revealed that Trump offered him half a million dollars to “make an appearance” at a campaign event targeted at black voters. “I was like, nah, that’s not good money,” he said. “I ain’t gonna do that. That’s not worth it.”
