T.I. CALLS FOR ANOTHER BOYCOTT! DETAILS INSIDE!
The luxury fashion houses have been under intense scrutiny over the past couple weeks with case after case of designers creating racially insensitive garments. Burberry is the latest to come under fire after a runway model was seen sporting a “noose” hoodie. T.I. has been one of the loudest voices in hip-hop with regard to boycotting these fashion houses and shared that he’d be canceling Burberry in the same way he has Gucci, Prada, and Moncler.
Tip said that these aren’t coincidences, referring to the racially charged themes these designers created. In a statement, Burberry CEO wrote:
“We are deeply sorry for the distress caused by one of the products that featured in our A/W 2019 runway collection, […] Though the design was inspired by the marine theme that ran throughout the collection, it was insensitive and we made a mistake.”
