Colin Kaepernick Settles Out of Court
As we all remember Colin Kaepernick caused a big controversy by taking a kneel during the national anthem back during the 2016 NFL Season. Kaepernick’s decision to stand up to police brutality in America cost him his football career.
Well fast forward to today Kaepernick’s voice has been heard in the courts and they have finally reached a settlement in the complaint of collusion of the two NFL players. They claimed football teams blackballed Kaepernick and Reid due to their protest of racial injustice. In a statement Friday lawyers for the players, Mark Geragos and Ben Meiselas said, “…Counsel for Mr. Kaepernick and Mr. Reid have engaged in an ongoing dialogue with representatives of the NFL…The resolution of this matter is subject to a confidentiality agreement so there will be no further comment by any party.”
Terms of the settlement which may or may not include monetary compensation to Kaepernick and Reid were left confidential.
