R Kelly is not welcomed in Australia.
On Tuesday, R Kelly announced new tour dates via Twitter promising shows overseas and Australian politicians are protesting. No other details were released about the tour and the tweet was later deleted.
After the release of the Lifetime docu-series, “Surviving R Kelly”, he has emerged into revived controversy. He has consistently denied any allegations against him dating back decades to now. Members of Australia’s Labor party released a statement to BBC regarding his tweet.
“Labor strongly supports the refusal or cancellation of visas of non-citizens on character or criminal grounds.” the statement says.
