Spike Lee’s Oscar Nominations
Spike Lee has been nominated for three Oscar Academy Awards. He was nominated for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Adapted Screenplay with his film BlacKkKlansman. BlacKkKlansman was a film set in the early 1970s based on a true story of the first African-American detective to serve in the Colorado Springs Police Department who’s mission was to expose the Ku Klux Klan and their wrongdoings. This film was released back in August of 2018 and still is making an impact. Look for Spike Lee at the 91st Academy Awards Show on February 24, 2019, at 8:00 pm EST.
