She ain’t ’bout that City Girl life!

Cardi B and City Girls dropped their music video to their song “twerk” on Wednesday. The video featured women from different ethnicities who were competing in a twerk contest to win $25,000. There were fans who enjoyed the video. Many of the fans said, via social media, that this was the most black women they had seen in a music video in a while. But of course there were also critics. Lexy Panterra, a white woman who teaches twerk fitness classes, took to twitter to complain about the music video. She tweeted “One question…where are the white girls in the @ IAmCardiB twerk video at?” She deleted her tweet after the twitter backlash. She posted another tweet but instead of “white girls” she said “other ethnicities”. I’m guessing she thought that this tweet was better. She later deleted that tweet too and made another tweet saying, “I just think there should have been some other ethnicity’s in the city girls twerk video…cause why not?” This tweet was also deleted. It didn’t take too long until twitter clapped back at her ridiculous comment.

Many tweeters stated that Cardi and City Girls wouldn’t want her “robotic cheek” choreography in their video. A tweeter responded to her Lexy’s comment saying, “friendly reminder this what Lexy original tweet said. don’t delete ur tweet turn it around and make it about ETHNICITIES. it was tons of ethnicities in the twerk video. If u meant white girls say white girls. this wasn’t even a race thing it was a contest.”
