BACK IN COURT
Mystikal went in front of a new judge on Tuesday morning in relation to his pending rape and kidnapping trial stemming from a 2016 incident. Mystikal turned himself into authorities back in August 2017 and has been in police custody ever since. His new lead attorney Joel Pearce spoke with reporters after Tuesday’s hearing that saw the defense granted two key witnesses to be cross-examined during that portion of the trial.
A second hearing is scheduled for March 6th. After the second procedural hearing, the actual trial is scheduled to begin May 20th. Mystikal is currently being held on $3 million bond.
