“GET THE STRAP”
50 Cent has gained a lot of attention with his “get the strap” catchphrase on social media. The phrase trademark was sold for $1 million to Viacom’s Bellator.
50 Cent took to Instagram with a message that read: “l did a deal today l sold (get the strap) for a million dollars to Viacom’s Bellator. So you will see it on some cooler clothing shortly. see how l make something out of nothing. LOL.”
Earlier this year, 50 Cent a misdemeanor aggravated harassment charge after writing “get the strap” under a photo of precinct boss Deputy Inspector Emmanuel Gonzalez in a since-deleted Instagram post. The case is still under investigation.
