CNN has reported that President Obama has met with at least 10 2020 presidential hopefuls to give a piece of advice on running against Trump, and how to position the Democratic party in the near future.
The presidential hopeful includes Cory Booker, Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, LA Mayor Eric Garcetti, former New Orleans Mayor Mitch Landrieu, and former attorney general Eric Holder.
Obama spent his time educating the potential presidential candidates “how to respond to the Donnie, positioning and broader challenges with the party.
“He has been very clear about the need for the Democratic Party to rebuild and part of that is lifting up the next generation of leaders,” the source said. “So if people want advice or a gut check or just to come in and look at the challenges we face, he is happy to do that.”
