After all the backlash from the H&M ad that went viral of a young black child wearing a hoodie that said “Coolest Monkey in the Jungle”, several celebrities made statements about their feelings on the marketing scheme of H&M, including Diddy who is rumored to be preparing a contract offer for that little boy. Diddy is reportedly offering the little boy in the picture a one-million dollar modeling contract to join him at his own clothing company, Sean John. There have been no statements, yet, from the model. Diddy had also spoke out about the distasteful ad in the young boy’s defense, by posting a picture of the boy, with the caption, “Coolest King in the World.”
Other celebrities who made statements defending the young boy in the ad, include, G-Eazy and the Weekend who both ended their contract with H&M. Also, YG, Pusha T & T.I. have made statements about the situation as well.
H&M has since issued a public apology.
