MONEY FROM THE LAWSUIT TO BE DONATED TO CHARITY!!!
2 Chainz is still trying to figure out whether or not he wants to sue Walmart for allegedly selling his “Dabbin’ Santa” sweaters. The sweaters are still up for sale on the department store’s website and look VERY similar to the ones he started started selling on his site in 2015.
On December 14th, 2 Chainz posted a screenschot of Walmart’s website with his sweater for sale on his Instagram page. His caption read, “Oooh nooo someone please tell Walmart that they didn’t get permission to use this patent [or] likeness in anyway. We use this sweater this time of year to spread togetherness and also give back to those who are less fortunate or not able to provide for their families at that time.”
TMZ caught up with 2 Chainz and he stated, “I do this thing with the dabbin’ santa every year. I’m probably the Hip-Hop artist who started it, which is totally fine, but I use it to give back to the communities around my area and just in need. So we’ll see.” 2 Chainz goes on to mention that Walmart has not reached out to him on the matter. “Look at it like this, man. People try to sue me all the time. Why. Why not?”
