Willie Watkins who is known for his funeral homes in the West End of Atlanta, wanted to help a family out with funeral arrangements after finding out two toddlers were brutally murdered by their mother Lamora Williams. Williams put her sons 1-year old Ja’Karter Williams and 2-year old Ke’Younte in a oven and turned it on.
Once Watkins found out about this tragedy incident that happen a block away from his business, he wanted to take action by paying for the funeral service for the family of the two toddlers. Watkins met the toddlers father Jameel Penn and told him he would like to pay for the boys services. Watkins said, “I want to give them a befitting home going celebration that they can remember their brothers and son in a way that will not be so mournful.”
