IT IS NOW EXPECTED TO HIT CARRIBEAN, FLORIDA AND EVEN GEORGIA !

Hurricane Irma approached the eastern caribbean yesterday morning at winds reaching 120 mph at a category 3 storm. NOW Hurricane Irma has strengthened to category 5 this morning and has sustained winds of 175 mph according to the National Hurricane Center.

The hurricane is expected to hit the northern Caribbean with heavy rains that will flood the area. The life threatening conditions this storm could bring are expected to match the damage of Hurricane Harvey, if not worse.

Florida Governor declared a state of emergency for the entire state yesterday.

Although it is a little early to determine the actual path being that it’s several days away from a possible US landfall, the Florida Governor has declared a state of emergency yesterday afternoon. There is definitely an increasing chance of seeing some impact from Irma in the Florida peninsula and Florida Keys later this week and this weekend.

Depending on where the hurricane tracks the storm could hit Georgia or the Carolinas or back into the Gulf adding more damage to the affected areas of Hurricane Harvey.

Irma is now the strongest hurricane in the Atlantic since 2007
