THE ALBUM HAD TO GET PAST BEY’S EARS FIRST!
- Reports surfaced that Jay Z’s 4:44 album was an alleged response to Beyoncé’s Lemonade. Now according to the NY Times via producer No I.D., the songstress reportedly had to give approval for all of the songs featured on the rapper’s album. While refuting the Lemonade response claims, No I.D. told the NY Times “I always call Bey our de facto A&R. Pillow talk is the strongest conversation on the planet.”
- The producer went on to say “Every song has to get past her ears, in my eyes. She came by a lot and played a good part in helping us get over hurdles on certain records. Of course, she’s genius-level with that.” Jay Z’s latest album covers a variety of topics like financial freedom, infidelity, being a family, and more.
