STUDENTS WALK OUT DURING MIKE PENCE’S COMMENCEMENT SPEECH.
Students walk out of Notre Dame’s commencement ceremony on Sunday. Mike Pence was the speaker for the ceremony but apparently, students were not having it. It was reported that during the ceremony students and families were booing and walking out.
Pence was reportedly invited after Donald Trump was rejected as the speaker. Approximately 100 students participated in the protest that was planned in advance by We Stand For. The group accused pence of targeting marginalized people on basis of skin, color , and sexual orientation.
Despite the walkout, Pence forged on encouraging students to keep religious faith, value the freedom of speech and saying ” the future is yours.”http://fxn.ws/2q9Axp0
