” IT AIN’T BOUT THE MUSIC NO MORE”
Monday, May 15 the 2017 BET Award nominations dropped and fans of Chicago native rapper Dreezy were struck with astonishment when the “We Gon Ride” artist wasn’t nominated for neither Best Female Hip Hop Artist nor Best New Artist. Despite Dreezy’s strong debut album No Hard Feelings and the Platinum-selling ” Body” featuring Jeremih, she wasn’t nominated for a single award. After fans tweeted their surprise that the artist wasn’t nominated, Dreezy reacted by saying she wasn’t shocked at all and explained that the awards aren’t about the music anymore. In 2014, Dreezy was featured in the BET Hip Hop Award cypher alongside many other talents. With that being said maybe this year’s BET Hip Hop Awards will have something special reserved for the hard working rapper.
