Following an unpleasant month comprising of lawful issues, Soulja Boy has gotten a break. Weapon charges against the rapper, whose genuine name is DeAndre Cortez Way, were dropped after the 26-year-old was captured for damaging his probation last Thursday (Dec. 15).
“I am looking forward to focusing back on the music and new business for 2017,”” he said in an announcement to XXL. Soulja Boy’s rep did not quickly react to Billboard’s ask for input.
A week ago, Soulja Boy was captured after cops found a firearm in his Hollywood Hills home coming from a Crime Stoppers tip called into the police office about him debilitating different rappers online with weapons. He was later discharged on a $35,000 safeguard.
