THE VH1-AIRED WEDDING WAS A STUNT
Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris were married during a hugely publicized Love & Hip Hop New York special, which is why it’s especially surprising that the wedding was not, in fact, legitimate.
Apparently, the two schemed to leave a signature off of the marriage documents, so that when Merceedees served his prison sentence, other baby mamas wouldn’t have the legal right to mess with Yandy’s money. Super smart and super scandalous.
We’ll look forward to the rest of this story unfolding in season 7 of L&HH.. but for now, we’re definitely amused.
