If you missed the second presidential debate last night here’s what you missed… Donald Trump interrupted Hilary Clinton several times which isn’t out of the ordinary. But when co-moderator Anderson Cooper asked Clinton about her private email server debacle, Trump spoke out of turn six times. Where Cooper had to step in and say “Please allow her to respond,” “She didn’t talk while you talked.” Clinton, on the other hand, only interrupted Trump once when he blamed her for President Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons in Syria. Is this because she mostly spoke the truth, while her opponent Trump mostly did not? But the topic of the night was Trump’s response to the audio and video released by The Washington Post of Donald Trump on the set of Days of Our Lives in 2005. Where Trump discussed sexually assaulting women, here’s a little of what he had to say..
- “I moved on her like a b****, but I couldn’t get there. And she was married.”
- “I did try and f*** her. She was married.”
- “Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything.”
- “Grab them by the p***y. You can do anything.”
But within minutes of the start of the second presidential debate, Trump was forced to answer for his 2005 comments “That is sexual assault,” debate co-moderator Anderson Cooper charged. And Trumps response was…
“No, I didn’t say that at all, I dont think you understood it at all,” disputing the characterization. “This was locker room talk,” he said, deploying the same excuse he had used Saturday in an apology video released online. I am not proud of it. I apologized to my family and the American people. I am not proud of it. This is locker room talk,” he repeated.
