NIKE IS CHANGING THE SNEAKER DESIGN GAME, AND STREETZ KNOWS HOW!

Nike has recently unveiled its latest technology. The HyperAdapt 1.0 will be the company’s first self-lacing shoe and Nike has verified with Sole Collector that it will be available for purchase November 28. Details about how customers can order a pair of these futuristic kicks will be released within the next few weeks. Unfortunately, there is not any pricing information about the HyperAdapt 1.0 just yet.

The sneaker was originally introduced in March, but the buzz surrounding it died down pretty quickly. However, this has completely changed. Tinker Hatfield and Tiffany Beers, the creators of the HyperAdapt 1.0, sat down with Wired to discuss the sneaker’s design and technology.

The HyperAdapt 1.0 will have a two week long battery life and only requires three hours of charging. The sneakers also have LED light indicators that change colors as the battery dies. The shoes are adjusted by a 200-pound-test fishing line which tightens and loosens their fabric.

The sneakers also have pressure sensors that conform to each individual user. Nike has already started working on future adaptions of the HyperAdapt 1.0. Are the days of bending down and tying your laces finally over? Nike is on its way to making that idea a reality.
