Some Bank of America customers could receive payme Some Bank of America customers could receive payments as part of a $2.25 million class-action settlement involving ATM fees charged at certain 7-Eleven locations. The lawsuit alleged that Bank of America improperly charged customers multiple out-of-network balance inquiry fees during a single visit to ATMs operated by FCTI, Inc. inside 7-Eleven stores. A man from St. Louis is accused of stealing $735,0 A man from St. Louis is accused of stealing $735,000 from a retired teacher. The U.S. Attorney’s Office said Michael N. Jones, 40, was named the victim’s power of attorney in March 2023 and began stealing from her that month. Officials said Jones used the victim’s credit card to make purchases on OnlyFans. Officials also said Jones used money from selling the victim’s home for trips, life coaching and purchases of other properties. Records showed Jones transferred $20,000 of the victim’s money to his personal bank account and $140,000 to his Cash App account. Investigators said the victim was evicted from an assisted living facility because Jones was not making payments to the facility, which was owed nearly $40,000. Jones moved the victim into another facility, but also failed to pay that facility more than $50,000, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said. Jones was indicted April 29 on eight counts of wire fraud. He pleaded not guilty Monday. If convicted, Jones faces up to 20 years in prison, a fine of up to $250,000 or both. @jsmokeatl *Source ANF News
