Starting Monday, August 17, Georgia voters can request an absentee ballot for the November 3, 2026 General Election. The deadline to submit an absentee ballot request is Friday, October 23.
Georgia allows eligible voters to cast an absentee ballot without needing a specific reason for voting by mail. Applications can be submitted online or by mail, and voters will need identifying information such as their date of birth and Georgia driver’s license or state ID number, or another accepted form of identification.
Other important dates include October 5, the voter registration deadline; October 13, the start of advance voting; and November 3, Election Day.
