A lucky Georgia Lottery player in North Georgia just scored a $4 million prize after buying a winning “200X The Money” scratch-off ticket at Kips Package Store in Griffin, officials confirmed.
The ticket holder claimed the top prize earlier this week and chose the lump-sum cash payout, walking away with just over $2 million. Under Georgia law, winners of $250,000 or more are allowed to remain anonymous, so the identity of the winner is not being released.
In addition to the big scratch-off success, a separate Georgia Lottery player in Fayetteville also hit it big in Tuesday’s Fantasy 5 drawing, securing a $521,751 prize with a ticket that matched all five numbers drawn.
Georgia Lottery proceeds benefit state education, contributing funding to programs such as the HOPE Scholarship and Pre-K, making winners part of a broader system that supports students across the state.
