The Atlanta Falcons announced a major front-office shakeup Monday as part of a broader organizational reset following another disappointing season. Owner Arthur Blank confirmed that longtime executive Rich McKay will step down as the team’s president and CEO and transition into a broader leadership role within Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment, where he’ll focus on marquee upcoming events — including Atlanta’s hosting responsibilities for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, the 2028 Super Bowl, and preparations for the organization’s new NWSL franchise. Replacing McKay as Falcons president and CEO is Greg Beadles, who had served as team president and now takes on expanded responsibility overseeing all business operations. Blank’s letter to fans emphasized accountability and a renewed commitment to achieving consistent success, stating that recent results “fell short of the standard” the franchise and its supporters expect. In addition to Beadles’ promotion, the Falcons are moving forward with hiring a new president of football, who will help shape the team’s on-field direction alongside the incoming head coach and general manager. McKay will remain influential in the community and league — including continuing as co-chair of the NFL Competition Committee and serving on Blank’s board of trustees — even as his focus shifts beyond daily Falcons operations.
