Police say a Longhorn Steakhouse employee in Georgia secretly took pictures of diners’ payment cards before his arrest this week.
Investigators who searched the home of 23-year-old Deshaun Peralta reported finding nearly 50 grams of marijuana, a money counter, and a stolen AR-15 style rifle. Peralta now faces charges including card theft, fraud, drug possession with intent to distribute, and theft by receiving.
Two family members — his mother, 40-year-old Yasmin Peralta, and his 17-year-old brother, Tyrese Galloway — were also arrested in connection with the stolen firearm, according to police.
Authorities have identified multiple victims in the card scheme but have not confirmed how many people were affected. Anyone who believes their information may have been compromised is urged to call investigators at 706-225-3151.
