The days are getting shorter, and you’ll see the change in the sky this week.
Wednesday marks the final 8 p.m. sunset of the year—the sun will set exactly at 8:00 p.m. By Thursday, sunset shifts to 7:59 p.m. and won’t reach 8 p.m. again until April 4.
Through September and October, expect sunsets in the 7 o’clock and 6 o’clock hours. Once Daylight Saving Time ends on November 2, evenings get even earlier, with sunsets dropping into the 5 p.m. hour.
We’ll stay on standard time until March 8, 2026.
