It’s been reported that- Rapper Cardi B testified in Los Angeles County Court after a security guard sued her, claiming the star scratched and spat on her during a 2018 altercation outside a doctor’s office. Cardi B, who was four months pregnant at the time, denied physically touching the guard.
She told the court she was upset after noticing the guard recording her, and admitted the argument got heated, but said it never turned physical. Cardi B also defended her long acrylic nails, saying they weren’t sharp enough to cause harm.
The lawsuit alleges the guard suffered facial injuries requiring cosmetic surgery and lost her job as a result. She is seeking medical costs, damages for emotional distress, lost wages, and punitive compensation, reportedly totaling up to $24 million.
Witnesses, including the office receptionist and doctor, testified that they did not see Cardi B strike the guard, and said the injuries appeared to be caused by the guard herself.
