Rapper Toosii is hitting pause on his music career to chase a longtime passion — football. Lately, his social media has shifted from studio sessions to sprint drills, with video after video showing the artist in full training mode.
Earlier this year, Toosii declared his ambitious goal: “I’m gon be the first artist to go back and go D1 for football. I’m pushing myself every day. #Myfirstlove,” he wrote, according to AllHipHop.
Since then, he’s been spotted working out at NC State’s football facilities, putting in serious time to prep for a possible return to the sport he played in high school. His dedication hasn’t gone unnoticed — NFL safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson and Delaware State University coach DeSean Jackson are among those showing support.
What’s still unclear is whether this is a permanent career switch or a temporary break from music. Either way, Toosii seems fully committed to giving football another shot — and waiting to see if a college team gives him the chance.
